Tulane Contemporary Glass

Opening Reception Saturday, February 13 | 6-9pm

The St. Tammany Art Association’s February exhibit, Tulane Contemporary Glass, will spotlight the energy and influence behind the Tulane/Newcomb College Glass Art program and it’s director, Gene Koss. View works from professors, graduate students and former students of the glass art program at Tulane which has inspired and shaped the New Orleans glass art movement. The Tulane Contemporary Glass exhibit at STAA will feature Gene Koss, Dan Alley, Christopher Gray, Weston Lambert, Andrew Ledford Dakota Moe, Devon Murphy, Francine Judd Stock and Lisa Tahir.

The exhibit, sponsored by Dependable Glass Works Champagne Beverages, will be on display February 13 through April 2, 2016 in the Miriam Barranger Gallery of the St. Tammany art Association with an opening reception, sponsored by Isabella’s Pizzeria, held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 6:00pm – 9:00pm in coordination with the Second Saturday Art Walk in downtown Covington. On Sunday, February 28 at 2pm, Gene Koss will give a gallery talk on glass, his work and Tulane University’s glass program in New Orleans.

The St. Tammany Art Association is located at 320 N. Columbia Street, Covington, LA 70433. Our gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10am – 4pm and Saturdays, 11am – 4pm. All exhibitions are free and open to the public unless otherwise indicated.
